People think we are weak
To have given up in that moment
We wanted to end our own suffering.
Everything is a competition
Even staying alive for a moment
Is a competition.
These words aim for intelligibility
For you to understand how hard it was
To come from that
And to choose to stay
And I ought to paint this thing
With sophisticated metaphors
To hide what I want to say
Or to convince you to stay here
To listen to me
To save me from myself
But I do not want to burden myself of that
Anymore
I have been burdened
By illnesses and medications

These words are enough
Proof that I've chosen to stay
I have stayed.
I will stay.
