Prayer After Correspondence with Pastells

God, you know I would rather be silent. You know there is nothing I would dare ask from you for so long. I would never claim to know you—to do such a thing is impossible. What little of your light enters this cell and my conscience remain unfathomable. But know that I believe you are there—no matter how distant. I believe you are listening. And I believe that you have given me reason and love to accomplish my humble cause, a cause incomparable to your will. I do not ask you to grant me salvation and save me from my enemies. I need none of that. If it is your will for me to return to the universe, I shall follow. For there I will never perish. What I only ask you—and I will only do this today—is for you to grant salvation to your creation if you so will it. For their cries for help have been unbearable to hear and my heart—this frail heart you have given me—is too small for all of it. I humbly ask that you hear me on this for it is all that I will ever want.

I shall now return to my silence.
