Life
Then darkness
Life
Then darkness
Then day
Then night

Frightened
Hopeless
Sleepless
Screams but no one hears
Cries but tears don’t fall

Then
Death comes
Knocking gently at his door
Walking quietly to his room

Dressed in a silvery evening gown
White as pearl
Attractive
Provocative
Seductive
She looks at his eye
And smirks

He calls Death,
“Come, lay down beside me."
He pulls the ribbon from her hair.
Holds her arms
And pull her near his face

Death...
Death...
Oh, lovely Death...
Sweet, alluring, enticing Death...

No one makes love like you do
No one

Let me rest
For death in peace is more beautiful
Than a life of pain and suffering
