We could all exhibit motherly love
My father could show motherly love. I could love my partner like a mother. I could love my creative children like a mother. Writing is, indeed, a form of mothering. It is an interesting kind of mothering because sometimes a child comes out perfect as it is but often this isn't the case and I as mother could change them, sometimes even kill them, sometimes let others kill them. And sometimes, like Goldberg suggests, I could give birth to them and forget about them like an unattached, unnatural mother. There really isn't one way of mothering. But we are all giving birth, parts of a cosmos that gives birth.
