Nora
At the well
I heard a song.
It quenched my thirst
Freed me from humidity
With the coolness of its caress
And resonance
Then I drifted with the wind
To conquer the sweltering city.
The awakened masses
Rose and confined their voices
In a tight embrace
To never release again.
They enthroned her
On the stage so her wholeness
Won't leave their gaze.
She, the end of all praises
Today and many mornings
Silent in front
A cup of coffee
With an unlighted cigarette
Or none.
The white curtain behind her.
She in everyone's hearts.
